Purpose
The objectives of the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Special Education Application and Research Center are:
1. To provide support services to individuals with special needs and their families, and to conduct research and publications related to the field of special education.
2. To conduct practices and research to improve the living conditions of individuals with special needs, in collaboration with the relevant departments and divisions of the University and other regional, national, and international institutions and organizations, within the framework of relevant legislation.
3. To increase the efficiency and quality of educational services for individuals with special needs.
4. To organize national and international courses, conferences, seminars, congresses, and all kinds of scientific events.
5. To organize activities that contribute to the lifelong learning processes of educators working in these institutions, in collaboration with public and private educational institutions that work with individuals with special needs and special education students, within the framework of relevant legislation.
6. To contribute to the development of policies for individuals with special needs.
7. To raise public awareness and consciousness about individuals with special needs.
Mission
To provide services with an interdisciplinary approach to individuals with special needs, their families, the experts working with these individuals and the society, and to maximize the knowledge, skills, functions and participation levels of all stakeholders through research, to ensure the production, dissemination and accessibility of scientific knowledge and to ensure local has made it its mission to carry out research and application activities at regional, national and international levels and to carry out studies that will be beneficial to individuals with special needs and their relatives.
Vision
In line with our center's vision and current mission, to provide more qualified services on this subject to individuals with special needs, their families and other segments of society by transferring contemporary, universal, scientific and technological developments to the field of education and application, to provide academic, scientific, educational, cultural, artistic and sports activities in special education. It carries out research and implementation activities to raise the living standards and quality of individuals with special needs in all areas of life, in the fields of social, economic, vocational, health and rehabilitation, to help them become individuals who are integrated into social life and can continue their own lives independently.
